Bianca Ramos
I value love, patience and kindness. When it is hard to practice my values, I am grateful for the People who honor my humanity. I am an aspiring portrait artist, and an activist for sexually exploited youth. I am an anti-oppression researcher, who follows frameworks like critical race theory, cultural responsive pedagogy and intersectionality. I believe art activism and the youth are the movement for social change needed to honor the humanity of the global majority.
My Journey
I am an anti-oppression researcher, who aims to follow current best practices to support community members through the lens of intersectionality. As a researcher, I am committed to creating the culture shifts necessary to empower historically oppressed, abused and neglected communities. As an ongoing learner, I am interested in learning from others and I look forward to creating cultural knowledge with partners interested in cultivating creativity through art-based medias such as acrylic paintings, digital media, poetry, and more. I dedicate most my time to family, community, and practicing my spirituality.
